At long last we are ready to submit our development application to the City of Rockingham. We embarked on the Baldivis Project after the Shire of Murray closed down our Furnissdale operations due to zoning concerns. In mid 2022 the Department of Planning offered us the use of part of a block they owned. We applied for an Animal Welfare Grant to fund the development application. There was then a long delay before the grant was approved. In the meantime the contractors who quoted for the environmental report withdrew. Once the plans where drawn up we decided to carryout the noise assessment before proceeding further. If we couldn't meet the noise criteria there was no point proceeding. The noise assessment was within the required parameters, so we went looking for contractor to finalize the application. We were unable to find one that was within our budget, so we undertook the work ourselves. This was time consuming, but now it is done and we are about to submit the development application.
